Fit and skip verdict
Intellect QMS fits mid market and enterprise organisations in manufacturing and life sciences that need to adapt quality workflows without writing code or waiting on a vendor change queue. Its defining idea is no-code configurability: business users reshape forms, fields and workflows as processes evolve, while still working inside a validated, structured platform. If your quality processes differ by plant, product line or customer, that flexibility is the main reason to shortlist it.
Skip Intellect if you want a published, self service price and a small, fixed module bundle you can buy today without a sales process, because the vendor does not publish pricing on its own site in the evidence we checked. Skip it also if your team has no appetite for configuration ownership; a configurable platform still needs internal governance over who changes what. Compare the full field in our roundup of the best QMS software before narrowing to configurable platforms.
A note on identity matters here: this profile covers Intellect, sold by Intellect at intellect.com. It is not Intelex, a different vendor with a separate EHSQ platform, different ratings and different pricing. Do not carry figures between the two products.
Our desk research score for Intellect is 8.1 out of 10 overall, from published evidence rather than hands on testing. The components are standards and compliance fit 8.0, module depth 9.6, ease of use and implementation 8.8, pricing transparency and value 5.4, and support and vendor stability 7.6. Ease and module depth are the strengths; pricing transparency is the clear weakness.
What Intellect QMS is and who sells it
The vendor, Intellect, positions the platform for manufacturing and life sciences organisations in regulated industries. G2 evidence puts its largest reviewer segment in the mid market, and third party listings describe the ideal fit as mid sized businesses through to Fortune 500 companies. Deployment is offered as cloud or on premise, per the vendor QMS platform page and listings, giving a choice that pure cloud rivals do not.
That same vendor page states continuous validation, describes the product as validated out of the box with validation plans and automated testing scripts, and highlights enterprise APIs and business intelligence connectors called Data IQ, plus electronic signatures. Integrations evidenced in our data include open REST and SOAP APIs, ERP systems, MES systems and LIMS connections, alongside those BI connectors. For manufacturers, the practical question is not whether an API exists but whether your exact ERP and MES versions have a proven connector or need project work.
No-code configurability shapes implementation. Instead of accepting a fixed workflow and bending your procedures around it, you configure the application to mirror your procedures, then govern changes through the change control module itself. That shortens the distance between a process improvement idea and a live, controlled workflow, provided you assign clear ownership for configuration changes.
Module capability table
All ten modules in our comparison set are evidenced for Intellect, giving it maximum module depth in our scoring.
| Module | Status |
|---|---|
| Document control | Included |
| Training management | Included |
| CAPA management | Included |
| Audit management | Included |
| Nonconformance management | Included |
| Complaints management | Included |
| Change control | Included |
| Risk management | Included |
| Supplier management | Included |
| Calibration management | Included |
Core capabilities in the Capterra listing include document control, CAPA, audit management, nonconformance tracking, supplier quality, risk management and employee training, with feature entries also covering calibration management, change management and complaint management. That breadth means most manufacturers will not need a second system for a missing core process, although breadth alone says nothing about depth in any single workflow, which the trial or demonstration should test. Manufacturing readers can set this against the segment view in our guide to QMS software for manufacturing.
Standards coverage
The Capterra listing states support for ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP, and the Capterra calibration page adds ISO 17025 for the calibration application. The recorded standards list is therefore ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP. Present those as vendor and listing claims, not as this site certifying the product for your audits.
That list is narrower than the standards sets claimed by some life science specialists in this cluster, which explains the standards score of 8.0 despite perfect module depth. If you need named support for a standard outside the five above, ask the vendor for specific evidence rather than assuming the configurable platform covers it. Validation support is recorded as available: the vendor describes validated out of the box delivery with plans and automated testing scripts, which should reduce, not remove, your own validation effort.
Pricing evidence
Intellect does not publish pricing on its vendor site in the evidence verified for this check, so there is no vendor published price to quote. The figures available come from a third party listing via G2, stated there as pricing provided by Intellect, checked on 21 October 2026: Intellect Core starting at USD 26,000 per year for 5 Core Users, rising to USD 47,000 per year for 10 Enterprise Users on the Enterprise Transformation Plan. Source for that listing: the G2 pricing page for Intellect QMS.
Treat those numbers as a listing based starting point, not a quotation. The model is per plan, per year, priced by the number of core or enterprise users, so your cost depends on how many users fall into each category and which plan tier you select. Small teams should note the entry point: USD 26,000 for five core users is a very different proposition from per user products aimed at small businesses, and it reinforces the mid market positioning. Our QMS software pricing guide explains how user category definitions change totals, and why you should confirm which staff count as core users in writing.
Evidence about a free trial conflicts: some listings indicate a trial while G2 pricing insights say Intellect QMS does not offer one. We therefore record trial availability as unverified. Ask directly and get the answer in your proposal. Teams comparing enterprise options may also want our MasterControl alternatives guide, where Intellect appears as a configurable alternative.
Review platform ratings
Both major platforms rate Intellect at the same level, from a combined base that is larger than many rivals in this set.
| Platform | Rating | Reviews | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.6 out of 5 | 94 reviews | 21 October 2026 |
| Capterra | 4.6 out of 5 | 84 reviews | 21 October 2026 |
Ratings and counts were checked on 21 October 2026. Agreement at 4.6 across 178 total reviews is comparatively solid evidence, although review platforms still skew towards users with strong experiences. Look for reviewer comments about configuration effort and administrator workload, since those themes matter more for a no-code platform than generic praise. The scoring approach behind this profile is detailed on how we evaluate QMS software.
Practical question
Ask Intellect to demonstrate one real change during evaluation: take a live CAPA form from your current system, rebuild it in the no-code tools, route it for approval with electronic signatures, and show the audit trail. Time the exercise and note who performed it. If your own quality staff can repeat that change unaided afterwards, the configurability claim holds for your team; if only the vendor engineer could do it, price in ongoing configuration support.
