QT9 QMS Alternatives: 6 Platforms to Consider Instead

Six QT9 QMS alternatives for teams that want published pricing, a different industry focus or enterprise depth, compared on evidence checked in October 2026.

QT9 earns its following honestly: every core module, a free trial and strong reviewer scores. Yet some buyers walk away, usually over price visibility or because their world is not manufacturing. These six alternatives each fix one of those issues. Compare them against the best QMS software shortlist, and use the QT9 QMS review as the reference point for what you would be leaving.

Why teams look beyond QT9 QMS

Pricing comes first, paradoxically for a product praised for value. QT9 does not publish its price. Licencing is quote based, per concurrent user per year, with all modules bundled into one figure, so a buyer cannot budget accurately before a sales conversation. Third party figures exist, with ITQlick estimating 1,700 to 2,200 dollars per user per year and SoftwareConnect reporting 2025 quotations around 2,200 dollars per concurrent user per year, but both are estimates, not vendor prices. Our desk research marked pricing transparency at 5.8 out of 10 within an overall total of 8.5.

The second reason is centre of gravity. QT9 is built around regulated manufacturing and life science production, with solution pages for ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, AS9100 and IATF 16949. A pure medical device startup, a Salesforce led enterprise or a tiny ISO 9001 firm may each find that breadth pointed slightly away from their own daily problems.

Qualio: life science ease of use

Qualio aims squarely at medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostics firms that want a gentler learning curve. Its plans run Foundation, Growth and Scale, priced per edit user, although the vendor publishes no figures and an implementation fee applies to every plan. Nine modules are evidenced, with calibration not evidenced. The vendor states support for ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU MDR. There is no free trial.

Choose this instead if usability for occasional users matters more than manufacturing depth, and your team is firmly inside life sciences. Read the Qualio review for its validation pack evidence.

isoTracker: published prices and a long trial

isoTracker is the pricing antidote on this page. Capterra lists a Basic starting price of 460.30 dollars per user per year, and vendor provided figures on G2 list a single module at 1,328.74 dollars for five users per year and Pro QMS at 11,036.84 dollars for ten users per year. A 60 day free trial of the full version needs no credit card. The trade off is depth: seven modules are evidenced, while supplier quality, calibration and a distinct change control module were not confirmed. The vendor states support for a wide ISO set including ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 17025 and ISO 45001.

Choose this instead if you run a small ISO certified operation and want to know the bill before the first sales call. The isoTracker review details the module gaps to test.

Intellect: configuration without code

Where QT9 sells breadth off the shelf, Intellect sells adaptability. Quality teams can reconfigure workflows without developers, on cloud or on premise, and all ten modules are evidenced including calibration. The vendor states support for ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP. Vendor site pricing was not verified in our check; a listing via G2, stated as pricing provided by Intellect, starts Core at 26,000 dollars per year for five core users.

Choose this instead if your approval chains, forms and escalations differ sharply from sector norms and you keep bending standard tools out of shape. See the Intellect review for the integration and validation picture.

Ideagen: many standards, many sectors

Ideagen Quality Management, formerly known through products including Q-Pulse, spreads well beyond QT9 territory into aerospace, healthcare, food and beverage and multi standard estates. All ten modules are evidenced, including calibration and asset related work, and the vendor states support for ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, AS9100, IATF 16949 and 21 CFR Part 11. Pricing is quote based and there is no free trial, so it shares QT9 weakness on visibility while adding enterprise range.

Choose this instead if one system must satisfy several standards and sectors at once, across multiple sites. The Ideagen review explains its product guide evidence.

MasterControl: deeper life science control

For pharmaceutical and device manufacturers who outgrow QT9 ceiling, MasterControl Quality Excellence offers heavier document and quality event machinery, packaging from Starter to Complete and a patented validation tooling offer the vendor says compresses validation effort. Nine modules are evidenced; calibration was not evidenced for this product specifically. There is no published price and no free trial, and third party listings suggest enterprise spending, so this is a step up in commitment as well as capability.

Choose this instead if inspection exposure and validation workload dominate your risk register and budget follows that judgement. The MasterControl review gives the full cost picture.

Greenlight Guru: built only for medical devices

Greenlight Guru refuses the generalist route entirely, building solely for medical device and MedTech firms, including design control and risk alongside post market quality. All ten modules are evidenced, calibration via G2 feature evidence, and subscriptions for quality management and product development start at 12,000 dollars per year on the vendor pricing page, with implementation priced separately and validation documentation included. There is no free trial.

Choose this instead if you make medical devices and want product development and quality records in one device specific system, even though QT9 would cover your CAPA list more cheaply. Device focused buyers should also scan the best QMS software for manufacturing context carefully, since Greenlight deliberately sits outside general manufacturing.
